Candidate Statement

My family chose Wenatchee to be our home because we wanted our children to grow up in the kind of community I did: a place where kids play outside without fear, whole families come to events, and strangers smile at each other in public. Wenatchee has those things, and a sense of pride that runs through every aspect of the city.

Yet there is work to do if we are going to pass that pride on to the next generation. Many of the school buildings, the high school especially, are due for major renovations; attendance is low, with only 44.2% of students regularly attending Wenatchee HS; and we are struggling to meet the needs of our students, from the highest achievers to the learners that need the most help.

Your Support is important

Volunteers play an important role in my efforts to ensure a bright future for Wenatchee Schools and our community as a whole.
